Josephine Rice

Josephine is an experienced coach developer and coach with over 13 years working in the talent development space. Founder of JER Coaching over a decade ago, She has built a proven track record in developing coaches and players within sporting environments. Josephine is a GB Hockey Coach Developer and an England Hockey Talent Development Coach within the North West Talent Academy (since 2022), currently leading work on the Isle of Man component. Alongside this, Josephine serves as Junior and Women’s Head Coach at Preston Hockey Club. A recent graduate of Dublin City University with a Master’s in Elite Sport Performance, she is a UK Coaching Associate Coach Developer and a British Cycling Coach Developer on the RISE Programme, bringing research-informed practice into impactful, person-centred development.

Rebecca Worthington

A wealth of experience in multi-sports coaching within primary and secondary schools. Current Head Coach at UCLan Women’s Section, Preston. Previous worked in the talent development space as lead and assistant coach within the England Hockey Junior Development and Academy Centres. Experienced club coach and leads on junior club programmes (Blackpool HC, Garstang HC, Lancaster HC, Fylde HC). Committed to community projects such as Back to Hockey (England Hockey) and ‘Satellite Clubs’ (Active Lancashire). EH Level 2 Coach with a passion for personal development through her own non-profit organisation - TEAMReb - which raises awareness of mental health. MSc in Sport, Physical Activity and Mental Health. She is currently playing National League hockey with Fylde Women 1s.

Rhyse Williams

Rhyse is an aspiring performance coach with experience working across junior and talent development environments. He has coached junior athletes at Bacchanalians Hockey Club and delivered performance-focused coaching within the Isle of Man Talent Academy and the Isle of Man U18 Boys programme for the past two years.

His performance-based hockey journey began as captain of the North West Hockey Talent Academy during the 2023–24 season, where he developed a strong interest in high-performance environments and athlete development.

Rhyse is currently involved in delivering hockey camps across the Isle of Man and remains actively engaged in coaching opportunities, with a clear focus on raising the performance ceiling and long-term development of youth hockey players on the Island. He is currently studying Sports Science for Performance at University College Isle of Man and is on track to graduate in 2027.
